The Nexus: Micha

Micha is a Kinas Hanian who operates as a Nyxian Hunter for The Order. Despite her relatively small size she's quite adept at taking down multiple Nyxians at a time through her quick cunning, and outright ferocity in battle. At heart she's a fighter through and through, always determined to get the kill, and to put an end to the Nyxian threat. Her (somewhat) abrasive attitude doesn't endear many, but she's found friendship with the Seraphic woman Eloa Karoz (who currently sits as her commanding officer on Nyxian raids) as well as a "friendly rivalry" with a the Hellion Libitina.  

Some of my influences going into Micha are (of course) Chun-Li of Street Fighter fame, as well as Asuka Langley Soryu from Neon Genesis Evangelion. In spite of those influences though, most have told me over the years that she looks like a post-apocalyptic version of Shampoo from Ranma 1/2. She was one of the first characters I created for The Nexus and sits as one of the main perspective characters in the story. My idea was what if I had a monster-hunter type fighter, covered her in scars, and gave her a chip on her shoulder? Micha was ultimately what popped out of that thought. Even though mapping out all of her scars (trust me she has a lot more under her clothes) was a bit of a pain, I really just enjoy drawing a badass warrior woman.

Materials for this sketch was standard printer paper and a Bic ballpoint pen.
