Trying to Move Forward...

Hello one and all! I certainly hope that you've all been having a great time this holiday season. If you don't celebrate this time of year, then I hope that you're at least just rockin' out hard everyday.

I'm back on here today to do something I never thought I would have to do. Remember that surgery I had last month? The emergency surgery I needed in order to continue living? Well I just got a bill in today from my insurance company, and they're not covering the surgery like they said they would. I need to come up with $2,000.00 by January 21, 2015 and I simply do not have the funds right now. For anyone who knows me, I don't exactly have the highest paying job. Even though I work in health-care it isn't the most lucrative of career choices, so a sum like this is a major kick in my teeth.

Now I'm not here to e-beg all of my followers for help. What I am here to say is that my original plan of opening up commissions after the new year has been expedited substantially. All in all, I'm looking to undertake commissions in order to acquire the necessary capital.

I'll be opening myself up with twenty slots for commissions. Each slot costs $100.00 (given my circumstances this is the lowest I can go right now) featuring one character on 11 x 17 in. board, and the image is in color. I would like to keep these with single characters for the sake of speed, but if someone really wants it, extra characters on the same piece will cost an additional $50.00. I'm willing to do OC's (original characters) as well as established characters from notable franchises. Since I will be pressed for time, it would help me astronomically if I am provided visual reference for any and all OC's. I'll send originals, and I will gladly cover shipping costs as long as they're within the US. I don't mind doing hi-res digital files, but I work with physical media so don't expect digital colors. Subject matter is something I'm pretty open to, but I do reserve the right to turn down anything that I just don't feel comfortable with drawing. I reserve the right to display the image for portfolio purposes if I so deem. While I'm not the fastest or greatest artist out there in the ocean that is DA, hopefully you guys will feel that the quality of my work is worth the (somewhat steep) asking price and inevitable wait. Trust me when I say though that you WILL receive your piece! 

Believe you me guys, I wouldn't be coming here if I didn't need the help. I've been on DA for years and have never asked anything like this of anyone before. I hope all of you guys can find it in your heart to help me with this obstacle, and if anything else, you'll get to walk away a swanky picture out of the deal.
